HRC Visiting Fellows

The Humanities Research Centre, with the Research School of Humanities & Arts (RSHA), administers a visiting fellowship program to enhance its national and international links with humanities scholars. The Humanities Researchf Centre visiting fellowship program has been running for the last 35 years.

Scholars working within any of the three large research themes/clusters of the RSHA are welcome to apply. These are:

Crossing Cultures, Crossing Times
Art, Creativity and Performance
Lives, Literatures, Languages

The applicants' research should preferably fall within with one or more of the current RSHA research platforms operating under the three themes.

These include:
Visual Culture, History and Memory, Biography and Life Writing, Culture, Heritage and the Environment, Public Cultures and Museums, World Literature, Postcolonial Studies, and Digital Humanities.

Visiting Fellows would be expected to participate in the programs of the Research School, meet regularly with other fellows and students, make public presentations of their research, and avail themselves of other opportunities for scholarly exchange. They are also expected to be in residence for at least 75% of their appointment.

The HRC will fund a number of short-term visiting fellows (of up to 12 weeks) to take up residence at the HRC. The funding covers air travel and accommodation for the period of stay. Visiting fellows will be provided with office space and ANU library facilities.
