Halle Foundation Fellowship Program

The Halle Foundation Fellowship Program in Germany provides 20 university students from the state of Georgia with opportunities to gain international work experience in Germany, improve their German language skills, and experience German culture firsthand. Participation in the program will strengthen ties between Germany and the United States and will help provide students with critical hard and soft skills needed to start their careers following graduation.

Internship placements are available in a variety of fields, including but not limited to: business, engineering, finance, tourism, IT, media/communications, international relations, the nonprofit sector, German studies, and economics.

Internships are customized to each individual’s skill sets and career goals. Fellows have the opportunity to work with companies that range from small family-owned businesses to medium-sized companies to multinational holdings. In addition to individualized internship placements, fellows also receive assistance with resume writing, pre-departure cultural and logistical issues, and in-country support. Following the program, fellows will receive assistance marketing their experience to employers and will be introduced to a network of German-American companies in Georgia.
