LEVE focuses on the dynamic between livelihoods and environmental change, specifically the challenges resulting from climate change, increased migration, urbanisation, and changes to global governance, and their effect on patterns of poverty, health and illness.
The scholarship is directed at candidates in the writing phase of their Master programme. Applicants from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will align their thesis with LEVE’s research themes.
They will be allocated desk space at the Centre for Development and the Environment (SUM). A limited amount of support in LEVE activities, such as arrangement of seminars and workshops and other tasks related to LEVE’s activities, will be expected.
Applicants should
- Be fluent in English
- Be interested in working in a multidisciplinary environment
- Be enrolled in an Master programme at UiO
The application should contain
- A few paragraphs about the applicant’s motivation for applying and qualifications
- Project outline (problem description, theory/central concepts and method, and progress plan)
- CV with academic transcripts
