PhD scholarship in Innovation at Roskilde University

Roskilde University, Denmark, invites applications for a PhD scholarship in the field of innovation at the Department of Communication, Business and Information Technology (CBIT).

Applicants are expected to conduct a project in the theoretical field of innovation. They might take the starting point in the innovation theory in general or innovation in services in particular. The scholarship will be related to Centre for Facilities Management – Realdania Research, in which Roskilde University (RUC) participates together with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and other partners. Therefore applicants for this scholarship should be interested to conduct projects focusing on the service sector called facilities management. For example the empirical data of the project could be collected in service companies conducting facilities management. There will also be cooperation with other projects in management, service and innovation.

The PhD scholarship
Will be based in the research group “Innovation in businesses and industries” and the PhD program “Business and Management” at Roskilde University as well as the DOME research school. Applicants must have a master degree or expecting to gain a master degree in the near future. We also urge students from other countries than Denmark to apply.

Department for Communication, Business and Information Technology (CBIT), RUC, emphasises innovation, partnership with the industries and internationalisation. As a dynamic and learning department we have high demands for our teaching, research and employees. CBIT is a professionally varied department with app. 2.500 students spread on a wide range of studies within the natural and social sciences as well as the humanities. The research education of the department comprises 3 PhD programs covering the three main scientific areas of the institute. The research is developed in the 7 research groups at the department. CBIT has 115 full time employees and is the largest department at RUC.
